Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) COVID-19 Genomic Resources | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at CHLA has developed a genomics-based diagnostic test for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and including a suite of bioinformatics tools and resources to study the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In the process, we have been continuously collecting and curating full-length SARS-CoV-2 sequences from across the world, along with the associated metadata. This enables and empowers genomic epidemiology studies to understand the origin and spread of the virus globally, nationally and locally. It also provides in-depth understanding of how the viral genome evolves as the disease spreads across the globe. This website provides you access to the bioinformatics tools and resources that we have developed with a focus on the analysis of the full-length SARS-CoV-2 viral sequences, including multiple sequence alignments, mutation databases, phylogenetic analysis, interactive visualization of precomputed phylogenetic trees, and viral genome browser. Together, we will beat COVID-19.
